Meet Our Educators
    • Tracey Reinhart
      Head of School

      Tracey Reinhart

      Head of School

      Tracey Reinhart is the Head of School and has been with MES for
      15 years.  She attended Texas Tech University where she studied Economics and International Trade and before discovering the amazing philosophy of Montessori, Tracey worked in the Human Resources and Training field earning her Professional in Human Resources Certification.

      She began her career at MES as an office assistant, librarian and assistant teacher. In 2003, she received her Montessori Certification and became a Lead Teacher, working in these classrooms.

      Tracey has been married for 25 years and has two MES alumni children who are both pursuing their Education Degrees in college.

      When I discovered MES, I was dazzled. The passion the staff shows for teaching, their longevity, the caring and nurturing environment, the skills and independence that the students demonstrated, all were exactly what I wanted for my own children. I simply fell in love and wanted to be a part of it. It was the best decision I ever made for my children’s education and the best decision I ever made for myself. I love coming to work every day and seeing joy all around me. Who else gets to do that!?

      As Douglas Adams said, “I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.”

      Lead Teacher, Toddler II

      Carolyn Ely is our Toddler II Lead Teacher and has been with Montessori Episcopal School for 25 years. She considers MES to be Lewisville’s best kept secret and thinks two year olds are terrific! She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Richard for 43 years and they have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren who are the joy of their lives. Mrs. Ely likes to travel, quilt and read up on the latest in educating young children in her spare time.

      Tanya Gilmore

      Lead Teacher, Preparatory

      Tanya Gilmore is the Lead Teacher of one of our Preparatory classrooms and has been with MES for 10 years. She has a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona and is Montessori certified through Collin County Community College.

      Tanya has three wonderful children, all MES alumni, and a loving husband, TJ Gilmore who is an active Lewisville city councilman. In her spare time, she enjoys being active in her children’s education and activities including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, orchestra and marching band.

      Pixie Power

      Lead Teacher, Preparatory

      Pixie Power has been a member of our Montessori Episcopal School family for 8 years. She is the Lead Teacher in one of our Preparatory classrooms and also helps maintain our 8,000+ book library.

      Her interest in the Montessori Method began while her 2 children attended MES. She was so inspired by the atmosphere of respect and joy that she became a certified Montessori teacher and has been with us ever since.

      Mrs. Power is originally from Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in zoology. She has lived in Texas for the past 17 years with her husband, two daughters and various pets that seem to always come her way.

      Ashley Lieberenz

      Lead Teacher, Preparatory

      Ashley Lieberenz is a Lead Teacher in one of our Preparatory classrooms and this is her 6th year with MES. She began her educational career teaching 5th Grade English and Science and throughout the years has taught various subjects from Pre-K up to adult education.

      Ashley and her husband live in Flower Mound with their daughter, who is also an MES alumna. In fact, it was her daughter’s Montessori education that ignited her passion for the Montessori Method and she began substitute teaching at MES and then became an assistant teacher. Ashley will finish her Montessori certification in February.

      My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the smiles on the children’s faces when they are learning something new or when they have been given a new work and they finally understand and complete the work correctly.

      Tinesha Hutchins

      Lead Teacher, Toddler I

      Tinesha Hutchins is the Lead Teacher in our Toddler I classroom and this is her first year with MES. She has 8 years experience working with infants and toddlers and was introduced to Montessori at 17 years old while working as an aftercare teacher in Carrollton. She fell in love with Montessori and began her training soon after.

      I believe the Montessori method of teaching makes learning fun for the students and I enjoy watching them learn at their own pace as well as guiding them through their own discoveries.

      Tinesha lives in Lewisville with her 5 month old son, Jaxson and enjoys being a mother, reading, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

    • Deborah O'Neil

      Deborah O'Neil

      Associate Teacher, Preparatory

      Deborah O’Neil or “Mrs. Deb” as she’s lovingly known, is an Associate Teacher in one of our Preparatory classrooms and has been with MES for the past 4 school years. She began serving as a floater and PE teacher and then moved into an assistant teacher position and began training to become a Montessori certified teacher. She’s on track to complete her training in the spring of 2017.

      Mrs. Deb is also a registered nurse and has worked in the Medical-Surgical, Obstetric and Geriatric fields. She is married to Bryan and they have two children. She also has two basset hounds that she may or may not also call her children. Mrs. Deb loves cooking, gardening, flea marketing and being on the couch with her family, her dogs and a cup of coffee watching a great suspense movie.

    • Melissa McCurdy

      Melissa McCurdy is an Associate Teacher in one of our Preparatory classrooms and also serves as our Physical Education teacher. This is her first year with MES. She’s worked with children for approximately 16 years now through both employment and volunteering. Whatever her role, her goal is to help nurture a child’s love of learning.

      Melissa and her husband Tony are proud parents of two wonderful daughters and one precious fur baby. She was honored to be an Army wife for six years while my husband, proudly, served his country and her family recently moved to the great state of Texas.

      Rosi Rivas

      Associate Teacher, Toddler II

      Rosa (Rosi) Rivas is an Associate Teacher in the Toddler II classroom and has been at MES for two years. She began in the Infant classroom and loves working with children.

      Rosi grew up in El Salvador and worked as a supervisor at a police station before moving to the United States. She has been married for 20 years and has two sons who are very active in sports.

      Art Program Director

      Lina Eisman serves as our Art Program Director and has been with MES for 25 years. She started out in the Toddler Room before taking over the Art Program.

      Mrs. Eisman began observing and studying Montessori method when she was only 11 years old. A university in her area had a Montessori Center that was a school and learning facility for teachers and she learned from the students, observation and attending the private High School associated with the University, the value of the Montessori Method of teaching firsthand.

      Art has always been a constant for Mrs. Eisman and she furthered her education at the University of Missouri and then numerous apprenticeships to hone her skills and develop technique. This veracity and encouragement for self expression is what she endeavors to pass on to her students.

      “My goal is to stimulate creativity, ingenuity, self confidence, problem solving and the right to personal expression through the studies of Art and its history. The Montessori Method keeps focus on the pleasure of the process.”

      Rebecca Mosley

      Associate Teacher, Toddler I

      Rebecca Mosley is the Associate Teacher in our Toddler I classroom and this is her first year with MES. She recently graduated from the University of North Texas with her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences.

      Rebecca has a passion for teaching children and plans to attend graduate school to become a play therapist.
